Amanda launched Bird for Bread Studio in October 2009, as her training in metalsmithing and sculpture connected, and she began to create a little world of wearable art. She is most inspired by nature, and enjoys exploring its unexpected harmony with raw metal and vintage finds. She currently works in her home studio with her two apprentices – Blue, the pit bull and Jolene, the Italian Greyhound. This is a blog about her art and everyday life in Kentucky with her husband, triplets and stepson.
