Back to School

Friday, December 16th, 2011

::My big news this week::

As the kids go back to school after the holiday break, so will I. . .studying art at University of Louisville! There will still be some jewelry on the side, but much bigger things in the future here. I feel so lucky to be able to pursue this after years of dreaming about it (I think my mom is watching over me).

Have a fabulous weekend, my friends! xo

de Kooning

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

A couple weeks ago we visited MoMA to see the de Kooning Retrospective. I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s awe-inspiring. I’ve decided to base my next collection on interpreting the subject matter and vision of some of these Masters into metalsmithed representations. In some form.

If you’re in NYC, I highly recommend seeing this exhibit; if not, you can see a small interactive version here

. . . a trunk show is near!

{If you’re in Louisville} come out to see me and check out the Tundra Collection this Saturday, the 3rd, at South Bayly Boutique! This event is part of the Olde Tyme Christmas on Frankfort Avenue, so after stopping in to say hi, you can check out the other festivities in Crescent Hill – free horse and carriage rides, trolley hops, drinks, music, sales . . . and Santa!

I’ll be at 107 S. Bayly from 2 – 6pm.

I would love to see you!! xo

We’re gonna miss this place. . .

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

It’s official – we’re moving! We’re really going to miss our little house and this close-knit community we’ve been a part of for the past several years. The second we walked in the door (what seems like a lifetime ago) we knew this house felt like home. But we’ve outgrown it here by leaps and bounds. So, we’re moving across town to my childhood home. The kids will get their own rooms, a study for reading and homework, a bigger (and more private) studio for me, a lot of land for the dogs, an arts & crafts room for the girls, and plenty of garage space for vintage motorcycle work for the boys. We’re soooo excited (albeit a little sentimental about leaving our neighborhood family)! The Anthropologie garlands will be finished and shipped this week, and then I’m taking some time off to settle us into our new digs!

Hope you’re having a fabulous week! xo
